Clear acrylic lighting switch plates
My Made in GB product for this week is the Prism Clear Acrylic range of electrical accessories from Focus SB based in Sussex.
The clear acrylic plates on these electrical accessories perfectly cover wall finishes protecting them from “paw prints” whilst being incredibly discrete. The only things that really show up are the switches, the socket interiors, etc. and if you’re using dolly (aka toggle) switches there are no screws to hold the plates down as the dolly ring is the fixing point.
It’s my “go to” plate range for heritage and listed properties in particular as the electrics usually need to blend in as much as possible to the background. As Focus SB are the manufacturer, they can provide the metal parts in a wide range of finishes from silver tones like polished chrome to warm tones like antique brass. The metal parts are plated or powder coated to order so they will co-ordinate with any colour scheme I’m working with, whether modern or traditional and the plastic interior parts can be ordered in black or white, again to blend in as much as possible.
