Please don't be shy - we need you to provide us with a budget to work to. A budget amount enables us to allocate it to have the maximum impact for you. It means that we create a design for you that is realistic from the outset, that you will be able to implement. Many clients ask us to tell them how much they should be spending on their project. This is a very difficult question to answer as even clients who consider lighting to be an integral part of making their project a success have vastly differing requirements and amounts that they consider acceptable. 

 

We have found that a very good way of assessing if you have a feasible budget for what you'd like to achieve on your project is to count the number of rooms in your project (for these purposes, count the exterior of your property, the front and the rear of your grounds as a room each). Then, take your budget amount and divide it by the number of rooms to give a figure per room in pounds. Although we understand that you will want to spend more on some rooms than others (e.g. more on the kitchen than the downstairs WC), it will give you a good idea if you can do what you want within your budget or if you feel you need to reassess it.
